Stolthaven Terminals

Due to the flammable contents of the tanks, the work area was deemed as a “Low Flash Zone”. The team, therefore, had to remove the existing surface coatings by ultra-high pressure (UHP) jetting up to 36,000 psi. The works were carried out under strict permit to work conditions.

Access to the works was gained by utilising a combination of MEWP and Rope Access.

Throughout the contract, regular progress meetings were ongoing, and the following items were monitored:

• Logistics Access Issues
• HSQ & E Issues
• Specialist PPE
